And, in other work
Very nicely, been asked to do a quick guide to Doctor Who for AOL. Have genuinely tried to make it a bit more fun than those awful "Tom Baker wore a scarf and had a robot dog" filler pieces you get.
Very well written - so are we to assume that Peter Davison is 'your Doctor'? Mine is Jon Pertwee - the first Doctor I (and my family) ever saw on Australian television back in the very early 1970s, since the ABC was a little behind the BBC.
That said, I have an enourmous soft spot for Pat Troughton - and I still dare to hope that one day more episodes from his tenure as the Doctor will be discovered, so that we can revel in them (and Frazer Hines' shapely calves...).
You have completely turned me on to the Doctor. I just finished a 3 day marathon covering Eccleston & Tennant. Now I have to go back and watch all the earlier Doctors. And Torchwood. And wait for the broadcast of The End of Time.
