Pleasingly

Found a livejournal page that reviews my book. Apparently, the naughty bits are being read in schools. There's even a review in (?) Polish ("Jestli je tohle ukazatel do budoucna, tak OMG YAY! :D."). Neato.

But - Jack does call him Ianto Jones in the series.

Doesn't he?

I can hear him saying it. Bah.

Don't you start. I'm convinced of this too. My first thought when I woke up at 4 this morning (apart from "why is the cat clawing at my face?") was "I'm sure he calls him Ianto Jones". And then I realised that makes me seem dangerously obsessive.

oh noes - they're now linking back! So now they know that i know that they're there. Only, just by typing this, now they know that i know that they know that... *fzzzzz*

I've finished my hideous technical writing and started reading the book with lunch - it's fab. A very compulsive mixture of watching Torchwood and having a few drinks and a gossip with you. It's actually quite disconcerting but I'm absoulutley loving it...obviously will do better reviews for Waterstones and Amazon.

Actually what I should have said was - reading that little review reminded me how brilliant it is. I'm going to read it again, as soon as I finish David Copperfield.

That review in "Polish" is really in Czech, and I know that, because I wrote it :). And yes, "Almost Perfect" is an amazing book, and I enjoyed it very much. Kudos to you!

So I take it then this is the actual brilliant madman James Goss? Wonderful! Just wanted to say you've got to be one of my favorite writers working in the Whoniverse at the moment. Just finished Almost Perfect, couldn't put it down, read it all in one session and currently working on my own little review. Great stuff!

Plus, your Torchwood audio House of the Dead was by far my favorite in the entire Torchwood audio series, just a gift to Janto fangirls/boys everywhere, so thanks for that. How is Big Finish not knocking down your door to get you to write for them? Would love to see you tackle the Eighth Doctor especially. Oh, and Dead Air, of course, was a flawless audiobook. I rank it in my top three new series books, with The Eyeless by Lance Parkin and Prisoner of the Daleks by Trevor Baxendale, both incredible writers who've been working in the Whoniverse for decades.

Whew, ok, yeah, that was officially gushing, so much gushing, so my apologies. But I can't wait to read/hear your next project!
