Next Book Alert!

I have a new book out in October! Here's the cover! Curiously, although it's being printed in the UK, you can currently only order it from Canadian Amazon, where it is ranked #35,865 in fiction sales. I'm guessing that means aboot 3 copies.

I already have the "Almost perfect" and I'm trying to find a way to get your inscription to it (or actually, an inscription to a label which I could attach to the book as I'm non-UK resident and it's easier to send that label and postage-paid envelope than sending a book back and forth). Just don't know where to send it. Any help?

Good point. Er. Gosh. I dunno. I am rubbish at this kind of thing. But should possibly do something clever invovling putting my email address up here at some point or something.

Yeah, and my blogspot/google profile has my email, in case one doesn't like to put one's address into a public place but just contact me. I guess it's something which authors just do, write inscriptions, even if the book would be issed 40 years ago. As far as I know, JK Rowling is the only one who doesn't embrace this ancient unwritten policy.

Another author who has written a Torchwood novel responded to my email and provided an address where to send my copy of the book or that label I mentioned in my 1st comment. I learnt this label-thingy from Clive Barker. He probably got his P.O. Box and his agent's place filled with his novels or perhaps he just tried to reduce the carbon footprint by avoided a ton of books being shipped back and forth.

I'd come to a signing, meet the author, kind of thing.

And nice to see Gwen still can't find a jacket that's longer than her top. That girl will catch a chill on her kidneys if she's not careful.
